Kyle Gilboy

Founder, Head of Design

Kyle founded Opalseed on August 31st, 2025, from his Seattle apartment with a clear mission: enrich local communities through thoughtful graphic communications.

While earning his Master of Architecture at the University of Kansas, Kyle discovered a passion for illustration and clean, intentional design. This blend of creativity and structure allowed him to craft visuals that tell compelling stories and communicate ideas with purpose.

Today, Kyle is dedicated to supporting Seattle’s small business community- helping each brand grow, stand out, and connect through impactful graphic design.

Austin Mak

Head of Experience

Pairing his 5+ years of experience at Microsoft with his passion for building stronger communities, Austin works tirelessly to ensure a seamless, enjoyable, and impactful experience for the local businesses we work with, as well as their customers.

As he builds out new websites, forms personal connections, and strategizes next steps to further the company's mission, Austin has quickly proved himself to be a fundamental pillar for the long-term success of Opalseed.
